Did you know about the Scandinavian seats tradition, where the back of the chairs was characterized by wooden spindles arranged radially..? Inspired by that, Odoardo Fioravanti Design Studio created the Sveva Bed in 2011. Sveva is a double-size bed with Nordic inspirations, where its headrest made of 27 pieces wood beams embedded in a soft shaped frame through the use of numerical control machines. This traditional style sleeping furniture was created as a meeting of forms that gives a nod to tradition while being built with the latest technologies. These vertical elements and cylindrical legs, made by turning, meet the horizontal elements more rational and linear, creating a simple result, full of details. Sveva Bed is available in ash solid wood, Wenge-stained or Canaleto walnut, the mattress support has fixed slats with rigidity adjustment.
